Brightwaters & Beyond is a short film festival that began in 2025 at Wohseepee Park in Brightwaters, New York. The first event brought together friends, family, and filmmakers to share their stories on screen. What started as a single night of local film and laughter has grown into a community rooted in creativity, connection, and the love of cinema.
Brightwaters & Beyond exists to bring people together through the art of short film. Our mission is to give emerging filmmakers a space to share their work, spark conversation, and build genuine community. We believe storytelling has the power to connect, inspire, and remind us how creativity thrives when shared.

The Venue
Wohseepee Park · Brightwaters, New York
Every screening happens under the trees at Wohseepee Park, where the cabin and its lawn become our open-air theater for the night. Bring a chair or a blanket, settle in as the sun goes down, and watch the films the way they're meant to be seen — outside, together, on the big screen. Admission is free.
